What is a Domain?
A domain name is the Internet address that people type in the browser address menu bar to find your business. For example, the domain name for this site is lbimarketing.com
Recommended domain names may include your name, your business name, business type, your location and type of business
My personal recommendation is to get a .com top level domain name since it is the most common TLD that people type in their browser address bar. I also recommend that you keep your domain name short and easy for people to remember. Crazy words may seem cool but if people don’t know how to spell your domain name, they won’t find you.
Top level domains include:
.com -commercial – any person or entity is permitted to register. Though originally intended for use by for-profit business entities, for a number of reasons it became the “main” TLD for domain names and is currently used by all types of entities including nonprofits, schools and private individuals.
.org – organization – any person or entity is permitted to register. Originally intended for use by non-profit organizations
.net – network- any person or entity is permitted to register. Originally intended for use by domains pointing to a distributed network of computers

Is There a Guarantee?
Yes, the website is built with your approval of the design. Your payment is due once you approve the design.
The guarantee is built in my web design packages because I use premium WordPress themes and frameworks that you select. After I get some information about your business and what you need your website to do then I will start sending you design images that you can edit. You are picking out the look and feel of your own website so you know and guarantee yourself that you like it.
Once you decide that you like the design concept that I prepared and you are ready for me to start building your website on your domain and hosting that YOU own then payment is due.
Once I start building your website on YOUR domain and hosting, you are the immediate owner. At this point, you own and control the website and its contents so, all digital information is non-refundable.
How Long Does It Take to Get a Website?
Information Gathering Phase: First, we talk so I can get to know your business and find out if we want to work with each other. Sometimes, it’s just not a good fit. If you are very organized and have all of your business information ready to send to me by email then I can work on some design concepts right away.
Design Phase: If you want several customized website functions, more time is required. You could send me ideas of what you like and let me know the colors you want to work with along with backgrounds. I will send you a design image(s) that you can look at and discuss with me either by phone or email.
Building Phase: Once the final website design concept is approved and payment processed, the actual website can be published with the most necessary information in 7 days or less depending on its size and customizations. The more customizations a website has then the longer it takes.
Does LBI Marketing Write Content?
That is a separate fee from the website fee. It is best if you write your own content since this is your business and no one knows it better than you. I can guide you with some content ideas for you to include on your website. You can email me all your content, brochures and images that you want to use and I will create and organize your website with your content.
If you don’t have any content and don’t have time to write then copywriting rates are discussed separately from the website project.
Do I Need to Buy a Maintenance Package?
You don’t need to buy the maintenance package if you know how to backup your website and perform WordPress updates yourself or are willing to learn. Be realistic with yourself and really know if you have time to do the updates. You can’t ignore the new updates that are released or it will produce security holes in your website.
Luckily, my web design packages include website updates the first year and I will also provide training for you to do it yourself if you decide you don’t want to pay for it.
